1983 Gibson V Designer

In 1983 the Gibson Designer series was born. With it’s aggressive high output Tim Shaw, Dirty Fingers pickups and low wide lighting fast fret-less wonder frets, this was Gibson’s answer to the fast aggressive music the 1980’s demanded. Made in the original Gibson Kalamazoo factory USA.

This guitar is sold “as pictured” with black Gibson tuners, Kluson Nashville tunomatic bridge and tailpiece, custom made black aluminum diamond plate cavity control plate and Dunlop strap lock system. Dean V case.

Comes with “original chrome hardware and plastics”. Original parts are, chrome Gibson tuners, stop bar and bridge. Original plastic pickup rings and control plate.

The neck is a medium C shape and plays light to the touch. A level crown and polish was done in 2016 after refinish and has only been played in the studio and a few rehearsals. this guitar resides in Sykkylven Norway. It flew here with the luggage so now it has the vintage fine checking look beginning in the nitro finish. It now has a bit of buckle rash on the back and a bit of finish wear on the neck.
