American recording artist, producer, and luthier based in Norway.
Jamie Rust is a genre-blending recording artist and custom guitar builder living amidst the wild beauty of Norway. With over 30 years of experience writing, recording, and performing, his music balances raw emotion with crafted sound—from cosmic meditations to punk grit.
Originally from Eugene, Oregon, Jamie made his mark producing and performing with punk and metal bands like The Rock n Roll Soldiers, Wrist Rockets, The Danged, Monkey Torture, The Dirty Rigs, and Max447. His DIY ethos and deep roots in underground music run parallel to his work as a luthier, handcrafting unique guitars under the name Stjerne Gitar, which you can explore at this website.
Jamie’s EP, Hither Mine Multitude, is his most personal and expansive work yet. It weaves themes of grief, unity, societal burnout, and stardust into a sonic journey that ranges from psychedelic rock to spacey alt-pop. Tracks like Find Me in the Sun and Fly Like I Do were shaped by the sudden loss of his brother in 2021, adding a haunting sincerity to the record. Songs like Gul Diamant and Your Disaster mix metaphor and melody to explore identity, mortality, and the chaos of modern life—with a flair that nods to David Bowie, Sublime, and glam-era storytelling.

A haunting piece with deep emotional weight. Released June 1, 2021 — the day Jamie learned his brother had been found dead in the Powder River after 18 days missing. The song became more than a track — it became a signal.
